CareLink Expands into Belize! Presenting a Hills Angels-endorsed microfinance opportunity…

Most of you are aware of the work that Hill’s Angel Jeffrey Hartman is doing to promote the power of microfinance in the developing world.  The author of Because There Was Margoth, and having launched dozens of small businesses in Honduras, Jeff and his team are expanding their faith-based non-profit, The CareLink Foundation, into Belize.

During the last few months, Jeff has travelled to Belize three times - identifying and vetting potential entrepreneurs who are ready for funding, and coaching them on the creation of their business plans. Now, Jeff is pleased to present one of these entrepreneurs to you for funding consideration.  Tom is encouraging Eaglezine readers and Hills Angels to fund this individual as a “Hills Angels Microfinance Project” for 2023.

Presenting Donovan…

Donovan is an inspiring and hard-working entrepreneur from the capital of Belize, Belmopan.  A young father of two daughters, Donovan and his wife are making plans to launch their automobile importing business.  Donovan has overcome some significant hurdles in his younger life as a disadvantaged kid on the tough streets of urban Belize, but is now dedicating himself to starting a Christ-centered business.  His give-back goal is to employ disadvantaged local youth in his business, providing them with opportunities to turn their lives around for good.  Donovan will be an excellent mentor and role model to these young men.

There is a huge demand for high-quality used cars in Belize - and a current shortage.  Donovan will rescue cars from insurance auctions in Texas and Florida and bring them into Belize, where he will re-furbish, repair, and detail them for re-sale.  Over the last several months, Donovan has tested his proof of concept by importing several vehicles and flipping them for a nice profit.  Now he wishes to launch his business as s full time enterprise.

Donovan is seeking $10,000 to secure a small worksite and showroom.  He literally has orders from clients waiting for cars, and expects his business to be cash-flow positive within 90 days.  He will repay his zero percent micro-loan over a 24 month period.
