To say she changes lives is an understatement. Sheree Keely will be one of our incredible speakers at the 64th Eagle Summit and she's coming to share a message that will shock and horrify you. Domestic violence and human trafficking are more prevalent than you can possibly imagine, and they're happening in our own backyards right under our noses.

The national statistics are staggering.

• 1 in 4 women have suffered severe violence from an intimate partner.
• 1 in 7 men have suffered severe violence from an intimate partner.
• Every day, 3 women are killed by an intimate partner.
• 55% of female homicides were related to domestic violence.
• Every 98 seconds, an American is sexually assaulted.
• 1 in 3 women are survivors of sexual violence.
• 2 out of 3 sexual assaults go unreported to the police.
• On a typical day, domestic violence hotlines across the country receive over 20,000 calls.
• Only 34% of people who are injured by intimate partners receive medical care for their injuries.
• Human trafficking is the third-largest international crime industry, right behind drugs and arms trafficking, with an estimated global profit of $150 billion annually.
• There are estimated to be more than 40 million victims of human trafficking globally, with hundreds of thousands in the United States alone.
• 1 in 4 victims of human trafficking are children.
• The State Department estimates more than 27 million people are victims of human trafficking
• Human trafficking occurs in every country, including the United States, and affects individuals regardless of age, gender, or nationality.
• In the USA the ten worst states for human trafficking are California, Texas, Florida, New York, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, and Mississippi. California is the worst state for human trafficking with 1,334 cases in 2023 so far. Texas is the second worst state for human trafficking with 917 cases.

These statistics emphasize the critical importance of addressing domestic violence and human trafficking. Hearing Sheree Keeley speak on these subjects, with her expertise and passion for making a difference, promises to be an enlightening and deeply moving experience.

The video below is the deadly story of  Amanda Kessler, a young Missouri woman who was ultimately murdered. The classic signs were all there. Education about what to look for is the first step, whether it be domestic violence, predatory behavior prior to sexual assault, or human trafficking.

Elevator Pitch Elevator: Stuck in the elevator with the keynote speaker? Now's your chance to share your idea... in 30 seconds or less. It's like an elevator pitch, but in an actual elevator. No pressure! Some of our speakers are coming to the Welcome social on Thursday evening - get ready!
